AMK was originally named Adam
Met Karl and formed in 1989. After the June 4th incident, Chung met
Anson. Soon after that, some other friends joined and form the band.
In the early stage, Adam Met Karl was a mix of post-punk, blues rock,
neo-classical, noiseike, gothic (and even rap) From 1989-1991, there
were many members joined and left. Members included: Wai, Alan, Fever,
Eric, Joanne, Louis and Thomas. In 1992, Adam Met Karl was renamed AMK
and had a more stable line-up: Kwan King Chung (vocals, guitars), Anson
Mak (vocals, bass, keyboards), Hui Wai Sum (guitars) and Ling Ling (drum
machine). This line-up was kept until 1996. AMK stopped doing live concert
in 1995 and stopped making music in 1996 after their last cd was released.
